When it’s time to make a beautiful and fresh balsam center piece it is important to wait for the season. Of course you can pick fresh baslam anytime, but if you want it to last, the time of the year is important. Depending on your climate, it is best to watch the calender and your weather channel. The balsam lasts when the tempature has dropped and the needs of the balsam has set. This happpens around November, the 5th in the northeast and later as your travel south. A good rule of thumb, if your not getting frost, then it’s not time. Once you have decided to go out and get your tips, only break from the elbow to your hand. This does not hurt a mature tree and after a year the tree will grow even fuller. break the branches into hands and prepare your base. A foam base works best for holding your material. Also you may want to hot glue your foam into a bowl or plastic dish. start from the middle and work your way out keeping your longer pieces pointed out. add a few colorful decorations and candles and you have made a nice center piece for your home.�

Today it’s hard to run a fundraiser and not offer the same old thing as everyone else.
The most important thing to remember is value, most people want to see value in anything they buy. A fundraiser is always a charitable thing to participate in, but people, even friends and family like to feel that they are not only giving, but getting. Obviously a holiday wreath does both and so much more. Most fundraisers offers a person a chance to help out the organization by buying some overpriced product, and they get a little something in return. This year more than last years enrollment, seems to be earlier and heavier. I’m not complaining but I hate saying no to the schools that come late. I don’t want to run short on deliveries or worse be late. I just can’t see how anyone in the wreath business would risk taking on way too much. A notice to participate is important. Without a limit a chance is being taken that may lead to a black eye on all those who have been relying on a Christmas wreath company to deliver. Well we have tried to think of everything from advanced ordering system to the simplest concept like ” notice to participate”, which asks easy questions, like how many people do you expect to be selling in your group and what is your goal. Commmunication is key is getting wreaths out on time. It’s important to tell your people what you need to do and keep them updated on your progress. It’s almost that simple. As another season approaches we are making accommodation for more fundraisers -schools, churches, and other organizations. Each year we make advances in our site in an attempt to make your life, the user more organized. Well, it does help us too…. This year we have created a way to quickly add users in an organized fashion. This is done by creating a hierarchy and a way to email a link that will bring each new participant to a registration page. In this way each order taker will be accounted for under an overseer of his/her group. As an order taker, each order will have a check box to mark that you have received the money from your customer. You will then pass the monies to your leader and they will acknowledge that you gave them money
and they received it. Of course this happens all the way up the chain until we receive the monies here and we release the order for shipment.
It’s simple, easy and organized.
